The Certificate and Diploma courses offered in TCCL are recognized by the Oxford Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts (OCR) and in adherence to the Home Office regulations.

Level 3 (IT USERS CLAIT PLUS)

The OCR Level 3 Certificate for IT Users (CLAIT Advanced) is designed to boost candidates' IT proficiency and enable them to mentor friends and colleagues. Suitable for those who are already confident and productive IT users, it allows candidates to tailor the qualification to suit their own needs.

Mandatory Unit

Module 1   : Understanding IT

Module 2   : Creating IT solutions for other users

Module 3   : Managing IT Resources

Select any one of the optional units

Module 4   : Advanced Document Production

Module 5   : Advanced Databases

Module 6   : Advanced Spreadsheets

Module 7   : Advanced Web Pages

Module 8   : Advanced Computer Art

Module 9 
  : Advanced Presentation Graphics

Module 10 : Word Processing (Microsoft Office Specialist Word expert)

Module 11 : Spreadsheets (Microsoft Office Specialist Excel Expert)

Pre-requisites: CLAIT Plus or equivalent qualification.

Duration: 16 weeks or more depending on the number of optional units opted for.

Qualification gain: Certificate in OCR CLAIT Advanced, equivalent of NVQ3 (Using Information Technology).

Optional units include Microsoft Office Specialist units, which allow candidates to prove their ability to use industry-demanded skills. CLAIT Advanced consists of units, which can be entered individually, as part of a Nationally recognized IT user award at National Vocational Qualifications 2 (NVQ2), or in any combination according to the needs of the learner.

Diploma in Computer Applications will be awarded by the college to students who successfully complete all levels of the course.
