Level 2
(IT USERS CLAIT PLUS)
The OCR Level 2
Certificate for IT Users (CLAIT Plus) is designed
to increase candidates' IT productivity. It is
suitable for those who already have some IT experience
and
allows candidates to tailor the qualification to suit
their own needs.
Developed in consultation
with industry, CLAIT Plus consists of units, which
can be entered individually, as part of a
Nationally recognised IT user
award, or in any combination according
to the needs of the learner. Optional units include
Microsoft Office Specialist units, which allow candidates
to prove their ability to use industry-demanded skills.

Pre-requisites:
Successful completion of New
CLAIT
or equivalent qualifications.
Duration:
16 weeks or more depending on number of units opted
for and based on individual‘s computing knowledge.
Qualification gain:
Certificate in IT Users
CLAIT
Plus,
equivalent of NVQ2 (Using Information Technology).
Candidates who successfully complete CLAIT Plus will
be able to progress to Level 3 with CLAIT Advanced.
Each
unit is certificated separately ,but for the candidate
to achieve the overall Level 2 Certificate, they must
complete four units, including the mandatory unit,
Unit
1: Create Manage and Integrate Files. Candidates cannot
combine two units which assess skills in the same
application towards the three optional units. For example
,candidates may not combine Unit 5: Presentation Graphics
with Unit 13: Presentation Graphics Solutions or Unit
20: Microsoft Office Specialist Power point (Core). Note
: All individual units may be achieved and certificated
separately.
